I am a full-stack software engineer based in San Francisco with an education in Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley.
Across my career, I consistently dive deep to understand and improve products through software.
I love a good coffee and I miss riding my bike in my hometown of Den Haag, Holland. I still bike around SF, although admittedly there are a lot more hills here.

Flexport - San Francisco (June 2024 - November 2025)
Designed and implemented Charge State Service to resolve deeply fragmented cost logic distributed across 4 commerce teams, enabling centralized management, evaluation, and presentation layers on prices. Simplified downstream systems by handling orchestration of calls and introducing a traceable, versioned source of truth.
Supports 10M charge state queries weekly for 200K+ real and prospective shipments, with immutable snapshots providing end-to-end traceability and historical pricing integrity at scale.
Flexport - San Francisco (April 2022 - June 2024)
Spark, Scala, Python, Kotlin, AWS - San Francisco (June 2023 - Present)
Launched Flexportβs crucial spot quote pricing engine, where I coordinated rollout across teams, profiled, and scaled the service through load testing to handle 200 rps. Utilized Terraform CI/CD and added logging/monitors to ensure high availability of the system's complex calculations and strategies.
Engineered audit tool for the Pricing Engine, offering engineers and business users a human-readable timeline of key events. This self-serve interface enhanced transparency of price results, and is robustly populated with ~9k events daily, using SNS Async Publisher, SQS, Lambda, S3, and GraphQL.
